About Flushing Sand and Gravel
Our History
Flushing Sand and Gravel began as a side job for Randy while working at GM. During his time at GM Randy had multiple roles as a proving grounds test driver, assembler, machinist and truck driver. Out of all the roles at GM, his favorite was driving the truck. Randy acquired a used dump truck and began hauling construction site spoils, sand and gravel on weekends. After doing this part time for 5 years, he had an opportunity to begin driving full time when he developed an ongoing relationship with large construction contractor. Randy retired from GM in 2008, partnered with his brother and added a second truck to service the growing needs of his biggest contractor. Over the next 15 years as they grew, other construction companies began to contract with Flushing Sand and Gravel. The truck fleet has grown to 8 trucks to keep up with the volume. Flushing Sand and
